The NHS Geospatial Index is an instance of the CoordinateIndexingService, which supports the indexing of and efficient querying of geospatial points

You can interact with it using the following methods.

/geospatial/

Default service homepage, giving description, licence and other information.

GET

(text/html) calls function homepage()


/geospatial/points/bbox/:lat/:lng/:dist/

Returns points contained within a bounding box centered at lat/lng with sides of length dist (in decimal degrees)

GET

(text/html, application/json, application/rdf+xml, application/rdf+json, text/turtle) calls function bbox_center()
Do it: /geospatial/points/bbox////


/geospatial/points/bbox/:south/:west/:north/:east/

Returns points contained within a bounding box bordered by south, west and north, east coordinates (in decimal degrees)

GET

(text/html, application/json, application/rdf+xml, application/rdf+json, text/turtle) calls function bbox_swne()
Do it: /geospatial/points/bbox/////


/geospatial/points/nearest/:lat/:lng/:max/

Returns max closest points to the specified lat/lng coordinates

GET

Do it: /geospatial/points/nearest////


/geospatial/status/

Default service status page.
